Smooth Muscle Cell Reprogramming in Aortic Aneurysms

In collaboration with Yale, Genuity Science AI pinpoints novel biological mechanism causing aortic aneurysm. Transformational deep learning analysis of single-cell RNAseq data identifies and follows a disease-prone cluster of smooth muscles cells as they transform over time in the aortic wall. Authors validate and visualize how the reprogramming of these cells, modulated by expression of TGFß and KLF4, leads directly to the development of aneurysms.
