How you can help

Our ambition is to conduct life-changing
research on an unprecedented scale.
But we can’t do it without you.

You have the power
to change human healthcare

What is Genomics?

An Overview of Genuity
Research Study Participation

The Journey of a Blood Sample

Who can take part?

We recruit volunteers living in Ireland for two types of studies:

  • Specific medical conditions – requiring volunteers who have that condition
  • General health studies – our largest-scale study, GenoFit, seeks adult volunteers from all walks of life
  • So while some studies do require specific volunteers, any willing adult in Ireland is actively welcome to participate in our largest study.
  • The opportunities for genomics to transform healthcare are immense; we are only just beginning to scratch the surface of its potential. Now is the perfect time to play your part!

How to register your interest

For people with specific
medical conditions:

  • In many cases, our researchers may invite you to participate directly, as part of your ongoing medical discussions.
  • We also keep a list of specific-condition studies open to volunteers; if you’re eligible for one, you can speak to your healthcare provider about it.

For members of the
general population

  • Visit the site for Genofit, our study in partnership with University College Dublin looking at the role genes play in determining our general fitness. You can book your free appointment right from the site.
  • You can also let us know about your interest in participating using the form below; we’ll then get back to you with some suggested next steps.

We recognize that genomics is the study of the most
personal of information, and we take that responsibility seriously.
