Senior Clinical Partnership Manager (Remote option)

Job purpose

Senior Clinical Partnership Managers are responsible for identifying and developing collaborative research opportunities between Genuity Science and international clinical groups, biobanks and health systems.Genuity Science is seeking to recruit an outstanding candidate who has a proven track record leading and supporting the development of partnerships with world leading public and private cohort research groups and health systems. The preferred candidate will have extensive experience negotiating partnerships to source de-identified clinical datasets and corresponding human biological samples. Experience or familiarity with clinical research and genomics will be a significant advantage.

Duties and responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior management in defining the strategy, policies, and tactics for the timely procurement of high-quality cohorts
• Leverage existing network and contacts to procure relevant cohorts, including phenotype and human biological samples for Genuity Science research
• Identify and profile Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) for specific disease areas, including mapping and understanding their network of influence
• Identify and establish credibility and influence with senior stakeholders and decision makers at target institution who are critical to successful partnering
• Drive timely completion of due diligence on new cohort opportunities to ensure the successful procurement of high quality human biological samples and clinical data that is fully compliant for use
• Collaborate effectively with marketing, programme managers and other functions to design and implement appropriate programme marketing activities to support successful partnering efforts
• Lead the formulation of clinical research agreements ensuring appropriate and timely input from legal, finance, the assigned research programme manager and other stakeholders as the situation demands
• Support the development and launch of new disease programmes by providing relevant clinical input or facilitating access to KOL network
• Build strong partnership with the Genuity Science commercial team for pharma/biotech for prospecting, developing and closing deals

Additional Duties:

• Provide mentoring and support to junior members of the team
• Assist senior management with strategic and resource planning
• Lead by example by ensuring the highest levels of quality and teamwork
• Lead special projects that may involve the development of new process or initiatives that serve to improve the team performance

Qualifications

• 6-8 Years with degree or masters in relevant discipline
• 3 -6 Years with PhD in relevant discipline

Demonstrated Competencies

• Significant experience managing the procurement and licensing of human biological samples and de-identified clinical data within a fast-paced research environment
• Ability to manage, sustain and leverage relationships at the highest levels
• Significant track record of working and delivering within a high-performance team environment and also working independently where the situation demands.
• Ability to identify and execute tactics that help deliver key business goals
• Skilled networker and ability to identify and engage with key stakeholders and influencers
• Experience liaising with clinicians and researchers
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Good scientific background with a broad understanding of common human diseases
• A broad understanding of population genomics and its benefits to clinicians
• Ability to negotiate and reach agreement in a timely and effective manner
• Business planning, forecasting and analytical capabilities
• Ability to provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organisation objectives
