Program Manager

Genuity Science is a global leader in high quality contract genomics. To build on our mission to improve lives through genomics, we are seeking a Program Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing a portfolio of alliances with external partners and work with internal partners to set the strategy and operational delivery to meet the objectives. Also, work with IT group to provide support for customers, to ensure effective customer and alliance management.

 

1.1 Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide input to future alliance structure, governance, operational and business provisions etc.
  • Where possible, provide input during negotiation about contract terms, operational best practices to set the stage for an effective and functional working relationship.
  • Prepare for the successful launch of an alliance, including developing a 100-day action plan and implementation.
  • Understand and manage the contractual agreement, strategic intent, obligations, including potential changes in partnership agreements. Identifies issues, conflict resolution, risk mitigation action plans, oversight of the relationship with customers and communication with internal & external teams (as appropriate).
  • Establish and maintain the joint governance structure – organize partnership governance meetings and processes. Organize meetings as required either internal or joint meetings with the partner including providing agendas, minutes and distribution of relevant material prior to and post meetings.
  • Facilitate customer needs across teams and ensures understanding of the commitments and delivery requirements.
  • Monitor and report on the progress against expectations. Analyze root cause, develop and implement action plans to address areas of concern.
  • Ensure customers are prepared for the impact of various policies may implement and can respond to changes in partners policies/procedures. Ensure partners are fully aware of ethics and compliance policies and monitor adherence.
  • Provide support to pro-actively identify issues and solutions to problems / roadblocks.
  • Actively identify opportunities to expand the partnership scope, creating incremental value.
  • Focus on risk management to identify ‘out of scope’ and ‘out of budget’ situations.

1.2       Experience and Qualifications

  • BS/MS in a scientific discipline, possibly an MBA with relevant 3-5 years pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Direct experience in Alliance Management, working directly with alliance partners and as part of an alliance team
  • Demonstrated ability to work without routine supervision to deliver key accountabilities
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of global pharmaceutical industry
  • Significant experience in managing cross-functional, global teams strongly preferred.
